Being in the High Country is a pretty amazing experience in itself, so combining it with a fun, relaxed and informative weekend of photography tuition is hard to beat.
Switch Off Auto & Learn To Take Great Photos!
There’s nothing more satisfying than taking control of your camera and really understanding how to use it to create great images.
A lot of people never get beyond the Auto modes, but once you understand how your camera actually works, photography becomes far more creative, enjoyable and rewarding.
Join me on one of my photography workshops and learn how to get the most out of your camera in some of the most beautiful locations in Victoria’s High Country.
Our home base is the beautiful township of Mt Beauty, sitting at the foot of Falls Creek and the majestic Mt Bogong.
This is an all inclusive workshop package, including accommodation, meals, photography tuition and transport in our own private bus, giving us easy access to a wide variety of stunning locations throughout the weekend.
Everything is organised for you, so all you need to do is book your place, pay your deposit, turn up and enjoy the experience.
The workshop is based around my popular “Take Control of Your Camera” course.
It’s designed not just for beginners, but for photographers of all levels wanting to better understand:
• Shooting in Manual Mode
• Aperture, shutter speed and ISO
• How different lenses affect your images
• Composition and learning to “see” a photograph
• Correct exposure techniques
• Creating stronger landscape images
• Basic editing and workflow tips
The Weekend:
Friday Night:
Arrive, settle into your accommodation and gather for dinner, where we’ll ease into the weekend with some easy to understand photography theory covering the three key elements of photography: aperture, shutter speed and ISO.
Saturday:
After breakfast we jump aboard the bus and head to my favourite location in Mt Beauty before making our way up to Falls Creek via Bogong Village, to photograph the Alpine High Plains and some of the region’s beautiful mountain huts.
Sunday:
We head over to Mt Buffalo to photograph waterfalls and mountain scenery and, weather and time permitting, we may also head up towards Mt Hotham for some spectacular mountain views.
Throughout the entire weekend I’ll be there to provide plenty of one on one help and guidance, making sure everybody gets the most out of both their camera and the locations we visit.
Only $950
Price includes:
• 2 nights accommodation (twin share)
• All meals
